He helped me come to my own realisations about my problems and offered many practical solutions to specific issues I was having, as well as looking back to the past to see where those issues came from in the first place. James creates a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere in his home. Rather than just sitting and talking, James offers different ways of approaching topics and issues. Becky was good at establishing trust and an easy conversation at a steady pace, a conversation that carried over and developed over multiple sessions, without herself talking a great deal, simple steering our sessions back to the issues I identified for myself, allowing me to keep myself honest, recognise my own sources of anxiety, stress, anger and also resilience and strength. In other words Becky was good at listening and then establishing and maintaining a structure for our ongoing conversation.

When choosing a psychotherapist, your own "gut" is important. The "wavelength" must be right. With Simon it was right from the first moment. If you are looking for an empathic, calm and warm therapist, Simon is the right place for you. I feel comfortable with him, he encourages me to open up and I was able to establish a very good relationship of trust with Simon. I have already been able to take a lot with me from the therapy sessions.
